Booking Policy

Below are Kumba's policies relating to fees, amendments, cancellations and refunds. It is at our sole discretion to amend these policies from time to time and it is your responsibility to regularly check the Site to determine if there have been changes.

Fees

There are only two types of fees involved in our marketplace transaction. You may refer below for the detailed description of each fee. If you have any questions on our fee policy, please contact us at kumbafrica@gmail.com.

Processing fee

For every booking between buyers and sellers, Kumba collects a processing fee of 20% of the total value. Processing fee shall be deducted directly from the amount paid to us, and it is non-refundable in all circumstances, unless your Experience is cancelled by the seller

Processing fee is used for our marketplace maintenance and geographical expansion to serve you better.

Transaction fee

Our marketplace payment system accept Paypal and credit/ debit cards supported by Paypal and Stripe. All payments transacted through Paypal and Stripe are subject to a Paypal or Stripe fee. The Paypal or Stripe fee is comprised of a fixed component and a variable component. This fee is borne by sellers and according to Paypal, the variable component will be refunded on a pro-rata basis in case of approved cancellation and amendment. The Paypal or Stripe fee and its refund policy may change from time to time at the discretion of Paypal or Stripe.If you would like to know more about Paypal fees, please refer to the Paypal website.

Amendment policy

Our sellers commit to help all amendments to bookings made at least 24 hours prior to 12:00 am local time of the activity date are free of charge. To maintain the high quality of service provided, our sellers are unable to process amendments less than 24 hours in advance. Booking value is subject to changes after the amendment, and you shall be required to make immediate payment for the additional sum, if any. Any refund arising from amendment will be processed according to Marketplace Refund Policy below. Details subject to amendment include:

Cancellation policy

Any experience or event, canceled within 24 hours of booking, is eligible for a full refund. You are allowed to request for Experience cancellation at least 24 hours prior to 12:00 am local time of the activity date by our sellers. All cancellation requests shall be reviewed by our sellers and the purchaser will be informed of the outcome by email. An approved cancellation request shall incur a processing fee of 20% of the total booking value. Late cancellation requests are considered a “no-show” and will incur full booking charges.

Refund policy

Refunds arising from any amendment or cancellation request shall be informed by messaging directly to the seller. Fund transfer will be processed within seven (07) working days from the email date.If you have any questions about our policies, you can either refer to our FAQ section or email us at kumbafrica@gmail.com.

Weather

Hosts make every effort to continue, as scheduled, with experiences or events. Should bad weather conditions create an unsafe scenario for guests or hosts, a change or partial cancellation of an itinerary or activity may be the result. Should an individual experience or event be canceled by host or guest, or should an itinerary substantially change or result in a cessation of the trip, Kumba will work with your host to provide an appropriate refund.
